A 54,000 sf office expansion to an active industrial and manufacturing complex near Waller, Texas.

The overall design aesthetic was a large hurdle to overcome. Our task was to add an expansion on top of the existing lab and make the design blend into the existing office building facade. The coordination between the Architecture, MEP, and Structural was instrumental to make this expansion work.

The design team was tasked to provide an office expansion space that combined some of the clients’ existing office strategies with current office design standards. This was a collaborative process that engaged several user groups, department heads, and the A&E team.

We blended the existing color palette with new materials to help combine the new design with the existing Tilt-Wall structure. The addition of stair towers allowed us to update the entire facade while keeping its original design intact.

The process was so successful that it sparked conversations about applying these new updated design strategies to the entire campus. This project allowed us to demonstrate how to merge and update workplace strategies within an existing office culture.
