The project was a renovation of the existing Renal Dialysis Suite within Ben Taub Hospital. The scope of the project included replacing the existing Deionized Water Purification system with a new Reverse Osmosis Water System.
Due to the nature of the renovation, a review with the Texas Health and Human Services was required and state-driven Dialysis Suite requirements needed to be incorporated into the renovation. Using custom designed millwork, the RO water loop system was designed on the interior face of the walls to allow for ease of maintenance.
Harris Health System standard finishes were utilized to meet Harris Health established aesthetics.
The end result was a treatment space that included more efficient work space, vibrant lighting and a space that allows patients to feel comfortable and relaxed during what can sometimes be a long and exhausting procedure.
