Markel, a holding company for insurance and investment operations globally, called on Inventure after our work on their previous Houston headquarters.
Based in Virginia with an international reach, Markel wanted its Houston office to remain consistent with their branding standards. Inventure was asked to redefine the relationship between Producers and Staff while creating spaces to make collaborative work easier. We were also asked to try to reduce the square footage to meet the new Markel standards. We immediately looked at moving the Producers to the inside of the plan and moved the Staff workstations to the windows. Our design team chose finishes that would blend with the other Markel locations to create that sense of cohesion and brand stability. Warm tones and residential-style lighting give a comfortable yet polished look to the space.
