Surge Energy, a prominent oil producer in Texas with a workforce of nearly 200 employees, entrusted us to establish its new headquarters in Houston. Our task was to create a design that embodied Surge Energy's company values, offering a functional and inspiring work environment that reflected their unique culture.
Our team designed the space to strike a balance between privacy and collaboration, incorporating private offices alongside a centrally-located, spacious break room. This layout encouraged productivity and teamwork while providing employees with the necessary privacy. Recognizing the importance of fostering a strong sense of community, we positioned the central break room adjacent to the town hall and reception areas. This intentional arrangement facilitated informal conversations and relationship building, aligning perfectly with Surge Energy's vibrant company culture.
To enhance the functionality and ambiance of the space, we implemented upgraded lighting throughout and used light finishes. Drawing inspiration from Surge Energy's logo, we integrated angular elements into the design of the reception area.
Additionally, we incorporated graphics that showcased the topography of the regions where the company operates. These design elements resulted in a unique and customized space that captured the essence of Surge Energy while making a visually striking first impression.
By meticulously attending to every detail, we successfully delivered Surge Energy a new headquarters that not only met their functional requirements but also embraced their corporate values and culture. The design provided employees with an inspiring and collaborative work environment while ensuring a visually captivating and memorable experience for visitors.
